Bramblecut Studio · Motion design agency · Dublin
Bramblecut competed with London agencies with ten times its link profile; its own site had great work but weak authority.
Bramblecut is a twelve-person motion design agency in Dublin. Its reel wins pitches when buyers see it. The problem is that buyers searching for explainer, product or title work were being sent to London studios with years of press coverage behind them.
Search engines weigh links as votes of trust, and the studio had very few. Without them, even well-written service pages would stay on page three. The brief: earn authority quickly, credibly, and in a way that only a motion studio could.
Median rival: 455 referring domains, nearly ten times Bramblecut’s 48.
48 referring domains; 61% were directories, showreel platforms and award listings with no editorial context.
→ Earn editorial links with a story only Bramblecut could tell.
Not one external link pointed at a service page. All equity sat on the homepage and two project embeds.
→ Route authority from linkable assets to services with internal links.
Service pages were 90-word captions beneath autoplay reels, with no copy that matched how buyers search.
→ Rewrite five service pages around buyer queries, process and budgets.
A 38 MB reel loaded above the fold: mobile LCP 6.1 s and a failing Core Web Vitals assessment.
→ Poster frame first, reel on interaction, compressed renditions.
27 project case studies lived in a JavaScript lightbox with no URLs of their own, so none were indexable.
→ Give every project its own crawlable page with a written breakdown.
Eight years of brief data sat unused in a spreadsheet: the raw material for an original study.
→ Turn the archive into the campaign's centrepiece.
The engagement ran on our Authority plan. Instead of buying or begging for links, we built one asset journalists would want to cite, then gave it four distinct routes into the press and the wider web. Every route ends in the same place: links that strengthen the service pages buyers actually land on.
