Cookies Policy
What this site stores on your device, and why there is no cookie banner. The short version: browsing this site sets no cookies at all.

1. The short version
Most cookie policies are long because most sites set a lot of cookies. This one is short:
- Browsing this site sets no cookies whatsoever. You can read every page, configure a build, fill your bag and reach the checkout without a single cookie being written.
- One cookie exists, and only our own staff ever receive it — when they sign in to the private admin portal.
- There are no analytics, advertising or social cookies, no tag manager, no pixels, and no third-party scripts that could set one.
That is why you are not being asked to accept anything. Consent is required for cookies that are not strictly necessary, and we do not set any.
3. Browser storage (not cookies)
Two things are kept in your browser's local storage. These are not cookies: they stay on your device and are never attached to a request or transmitted to our servers. We disclose them because the law cares about what is stored on your device, not about what the storage is called.
| Key | What it holds | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
grot.cart.v1 | Your shopping bag — the item identifiers, names, prices and quantities you have selected — so it survives a page reload. | Until you empty the bag or clear your browser storage |
grot.theme | Whether you chose the light or dark appearance. Absent unless you use the toggle, in which case your system setting is followed. | Until you clear your browser storage |
Both are strictly necessary for features you asked for. Note that the prices held in your bag are for display only — every line is recalculated on our server at checkout, so a stale or edited bag can never change what you are charged.
4. Third parties
No third party sets a cookie through this website. We load no external fonts, scripts, embeds or images from other domains.
When you choose to pay, you are sent to a payment page hosted by ZEN.COM UAB. That page is theirs, on their domain, and it will set its own cookies under its own policy — which you should read at https://zen.com/privacy-policy. We have no control over, and no visibility of, what it stores.
5. Managing and removing what is stored
You can clear cookies and local storage for any site from your browser's settings — usually under “Privacy”, “Cookies and site data”, or “Clear browsing data”. Blocking storage for this site has one consequence: your shopping bag will not survive a page reload, and staff will not be able to stay signed in to the portal. Nothing else is affected.
Because we set no tracking cookies, there is nothing here for a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. We honour them by having nothing to disable.
6. Changes
If we ever introduce a cookie that is not strictly necessary — an analytics tool, for instance — we will ask for your consent before setting it, and update this page first. For how the small amount of data we do hold is handled, see our Privacy Policy. Questions go to privacy@getrankedontop.com.
