Adega Lusco
Natural-wine bar & petiscos · Porto, Portugal
01O desafio · The challenge
Visitors searching in English, French and Spanish for wine bars in Ribeira were shown aggregator lists. The bar's profile had Portuguese-only descriptions and no menu.
Ribeira is where Porto’s visitors walk, and they search on their phones in their own language, a few streets from the door. Thirty seats, natural wine by the glass and petiscos from a two-ring kitchen: the bar was exactly what they were looking for, and almost invisible to them.
Google could not tell it was a wine bar, could not read its menu, and saw a trickle of Portuguese reviews against competitors with hundreds in English. So the map pack went to aggregators and to bars that had simply written their profile in English.

02Diagnóstico · The audit
Before laying anything new, we chipped out what was broken. The audit covered the profile, the review base, the menu and the website, and every citation we could find.
03A estratégia · The strategy
Built on our Local plan: the profile, the reviews, the menu and the citations, worked together so each one makes the others count for more.
Rebuilt from the category up: “Wine bar” primary, four-language description, night-time photo set, attributes, Q&A seeded with the questions tourists actually ask (“do you take walk-ins?”).
A table card and receipt QR that opens the review form with a prompt in the guest’s language. Staff ask at the second glass. Every review answered within 48 hours, in the language it was written in.
The wine list and petiscos as crawlable HTML in EN, FR, ES and PT, with Menu, MenuSection and MenuItem schema and hreflang, mirrored into the profile menu editor so dishes match dish searches.
One name, address and number everywhere: 14 listings merged and corrected, 6 new ones on the tourist trail, and a monthly sweep so nothing drifts back.
04Mês a mês · Month by month

Wine list and petiscos published as HTML with Menu and MenuItem schema, priced in euros, and synced to the profile menu editor.
A table card and receipt QR in the guest’s own language; staff ask at the second glass, never with an incentive. Replies within 48 hours.
